Description

Work as part of a global operations team focusing on network/telecom infrastructure monitoring and problem resolution. Individual will manage incoming issues resolve level 1/2 issues and escalate as needed to global team.

Will also be responsible for metrics gathering/reporting, customer satisfaction reporting, monitoring updates/deletions globally.



Responsibilities:

Follow network standards, analyze and resolve network related problems, up to and including Level 2. Monitor, analyze and test all elements of the network infrastructure. Ability to work remotely, strong customer focus and teamwork.Moderate supervision required. Prioritizes own work.

Functional/technical requirements:

· Controls, tests and analyzes the status and performance of all components of network facilities.

· Ensures network availability to all users

· Identifies, diagnoses and resolves problems of moderate scope and complexity.

· Confers with senior engineers to diagnose and resolve more complex issues.

· May provide some assistance to entry level network engineers.

· Assists senior level network engineers to analyze and provide innovative solutions to network engineering and design projects.

· Understands, applies and may adapt fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to network administration.

· Advanced knowledge of network performance, hardware, software, and related troubleshooting procedures.

· Understands more advanced concepts of network administration.

· Possesses a strong working knowledge of Dell's business needs.

· Ability to recommend network upgrades and improvements to achieve Dell's goals and objectives.

· General understanding of security issues and implications to network solutions.



Qualifications
2-6 years of professional experience (2 years directly related to I/T or functional area) or equivalent combination of education/experience.
